Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving Day

In 1621, the Plymouth colonists and Wampanoag Indians shared an autumn harvest feast that is acknowledged today as one of the first Thanksgiving celebrations in the colonies. For more than two centuries, days of thanksgiving were celebrated by individual colonies and states. It wasn’t until 1863, in the midst of the Civil War, that President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national Thanksgiving Day to be held each November.

Dental Lab Technician

Duties and responsibilities: Replaces partial or total loss of natural teeth by constructing partial or full dentures (metal and non-metal).Restores natural teeth by fabricating crowns and bridges. Corrects dental irregularities by manufacturing fixed or removable appliances. Completes implantology procedures by fabricating  prostheses to fit implants the dentist places directly into the patient's jawbone. Replace missing facial and body tissues due to injury, disease, or developmental abnormality by fabricating maxilla -facial prostheses.

 Salary: $70,000

Education: Dental laboratory technicians may receive their education and training through a two-year program at a community college, vocational school, technical college, university or dental school. Graduates of these programs receive either an associate degree or a certificate. There also are a few programs that offer a four-year baccalaureate program in dental technology. In most cases, an interested individual needs a high school diploma or its equivalent to apply to an accredited dental laboratory technology program. Contact the dental technology program of interest to you for specific requirements.

Veterans Day

El Día de los Veteranos,  que se celebra  cada  11 de noviembre,   los estadounidenses  rinden homenaje a todos los militares  que  han participando en las guerras  como parte de  las Fuerzas Armadas de Estados Unidos, y que estén  tanto vivos como muertos.

El  Día de la Recordación Memorial Day, en cambio se dedica  honrar a quienes dieron su vida en los campos de batalla peleando junto a la fuerzas de  Estados Unidos.

Integrity

. adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty.

. Having integrity means doing the right thing in a reliable way. It's a personality trait that we admire, since it means a person has a moral compass that doesn't waver. It literally means having "wholeness" of character, just as an integer is a "whole number" with no fractions. Physical objects can display integrity, too — if you're going over a rickety old bridge that sways in the wind, you might question its structural integrity.                                                                                                     

. To maintain the integrity of the house, the owners had the walls repaired with plaster, not drywall. But once he began to speak, what people sensed was his integrity. Duties and responsibilities: Working as a dance therapist provides the opportunity to use movement to improve the lives of others. This career requires a love of dance and a strong desire to help others. Keep reading to discover some of the education and career options available.

Salary: $45,520

Education: There are two different credentials offered by the Dance Movement Therapy Certification Board, Inc: the Registered Dance/Movement Therapist (R-DMT) credential and the more advanced Certified Dance/Movement Therapist (BC-DMT). A BC-DMT can provide training and work in private practice, while an R-DMT can work only in a clinical or educational setting and cannot provide training. To earn the BC-DMT, several thousands of hours of clinical experience are required.
